Airbnb Photography in Cheras, Ampang, and the Klang Valley

Cheras, Ampang, Puchong, and the wider Klang Valley are packed with short stay units. A guest can compare ten similar condos in less than a minute. Price matters, but the photo usually gets the click first.

I shoot Airbnb and homestay photography for hosts who want their listings to look clean, honest, and easy to trust. Most of my clients are not trying to make the unit look like a hotel suite. They just want the place to look its best on Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, PropertyGuru, iProperty, or their own booking page.

The short stay market here

Cheras and Ampang attract different types of guests. Some book for medical trips, some for family visits, some for work near KL city, and some because they want more space than a hotel room. Puchong and the surrounding Klang Valley areas are similar, but often more family and work trip focused.

That changes how the unit should be photographed. A small studio needs to feel bright and practical. A three bedroom homestay needs to show sleeping arrangements clearly. A unit with parking, a pool, or a nice balcony should show those things early because they can be the reason someone chooses your listing.

What I focus on during the shoot

For Airbnb listings, I care about clarity first. Guests want to know what they are booking. Wide photos help them understand the layout. Detail shots help the place feel cared for. A clean bathroom photo does more for trust than most hosts realise.

I usually start with the strongest room, then work through the unit in the same order a guest would experience it. Living area, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, balcony, facilities, and any small selling points that make the place easier to choose.

Areas I cover

I regularly cover Cheras, Ampang, Puchong, Bukit Jalil, Seri Kembangan, Setapak, Bangsar South, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Cyberjaya, and Putrajaya. If your unit is outside these areas, send the location and I will confirm whether I can take the job.

For hosts with more than one unit, I can usually plan the shoot route so we cover a few properties in the same day. This works best when every unit is cleaned, staged, and ready before I arrive.

How booking works

Most Airbnb and homestay shoots take around two to three hours, depending on the size of the unit and how ready the space is. A studio is faster. A landed homestay with several bedrooms, outdoor areas, and shared facilities takes longer.

Packages start from RM400. You receive edited photos through a download link, usually within 3–5 days. If you need photos urgently before a listing launch, tell me before booking so I can confirm whether the timeline is possible.

A note on timing

Natural light helps, but I do not force fake sunshine into a room that does not have it. If the unit is naturally bright, we use that. If it is darker, I balance the light so the space still feels clean and realistic.

Morning to early afternoon usually works well for most condos in KL and Selangor. For units with harsh direct sun, we plan around it so the photos do not end up with blown windows or heavy shadows.

How many photos do I need for Airbnb?

Most units need 20 to 30 good photos. More is useful for larger homes, but repeated angles do not help much.

Can you shoot a unit that is already listed?

Yes. Many hosts book a shoot after realising their current photos are not getting enough clicks.

Do I need to be there during the shoot?

You do not need to stay for the whole session, but it helps if you are there for the first ten minutes so we can walk through the unit.
