How I Got Here
I started my career in procurement and supply chain. Numbers, contracts, logistics. Not photography. But I'd always had a camera, and on the side, I was shooting weddings and professional headshots.
When I moved into property sales, the photography side of me started noticing something. Listings kept going live with bad photos. Not because the properties were bad, but because no one had thought seriously about how to photograph them. As a salesperson, I knew exactly how those photos affected enquiries. A dark, flat photo of a bedroom meant fewer calls. A well-composed shot that showed the space properly meant more.
Everything clicked and I made the move into property photography full time. The years in property sales gave me something most photographers don't have, I understand what the client needs the photos to do. Not just look good. The photos need to do the selling.
That was over 13 years ago. I've spent every year since then refining the my craft: photographing spaces that make people want to be inside them.

What Property Sales Taught Me About Property Photography
A photographer who has only ever been a photographer sees a room. I see a listing.
After years in property sales, I know what a buyer or a tenant is actually looking at when they scroll past a photo. I know what makes someone stop, and what makes them keep scrolling. I understand what Airbnb's algorithm rewards, what PropertyGuru buyers are filtering for, what a Booking.com lead photo needs to communicate in under two seconds.
That background shapes every shoot. The shot order, the angles I choose, which room I photograph first, how I handle a space with difficult lighting. It's not just about making a space look beautiful. It's about making a space look like somewhere worth visiting, worth buying, worth booking.

What 13 Years of This Actually Looks Like
Over 1,000 shoots across KL and Selangor means I've walked into almost every situation that exists: studio apartments with no natural light, commercial shopfronts with fluorescent overheads, hotel rooms where the bed takes up the whole frame, restaurants mid-service, offices full of people. I know how to work with what's there.
For interior and property work, I use a flambient technique: a blend of flash and ambient light that produces clean, accurate results without the over-processed look of heavy HDR. It looks like the room actually looks. That matters when a buyer or guest forms an impression before they've walked through the door.
